In 2015, a collection of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia, owned by Texas gallery owner, Donald Dow, sold at an auction in Dallas for more than $800,000.  The collection included a lock of the president’s hair ($25,000) and a letter signed by John Wilkes Booth ($30,000).

A letter admitting the Civil War was not going well remained unsold.

I’ve included a few links to auctions in North Texas below. You never know what the tide will bring in.

By the way, if you’re thinking of staging or furnishing a home, builders have great sales on furniture and accessories used in models.

  • Upcoming estate sales – Denton, and surrounding cities in North Texas
  • Advertised as Dallas area estate sales
  • University of North Texas auction
